At our house, the most requested cookie is monster cookies that have lots of m&m’s.  I have been considering tweaking the recipe just a little bit, but I was never brave enough to mess with a good thing!

I eventually worked up the nerve to tweak the recipe a bit and I am so glad that I did!  They turned out great! I decreased the amount of a few things, added crushed pretzels and changed up the kind of chocolate chips!  I’m happy to say that everyone that ate them loved them!  My kiddos couldn’t get enough of them and my husband definitely approved!  I’ll be using this version of the recipe from now on!

Monster Cookies Version 2.0

-3 eggs

-1 cup sugar

-1 1/4 cup brown sugar

-1/2 cup butter, softened

-1/2 teaspoon vanilla

-1 1/2 cup peanut butter

-1/2 teaspoon salt

-2 teaspoons baking soda

-3 cups oats

-1/2 cup chocolate chips

-1/2 cup peanut butter chips

-1 cup M&Ms

-1/2 cup crushed pretzels

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.  Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

In the bowl of your mixer, combine the eggs and sugars.  Add butter, vanilla, peanut butter and salt. Mix.  Add baking soda.  Mix. Add oats, chips, pretzels and M&Ms.  Mix until combined.

Spoon 1 to 1 1/2 Tablespoon dollops onto a parchment lined baking sheet.  Bake for 9-13 minutes.  Allow to cool on pan for five minute before moving to a wire rack.

I hope you are having a fabulous weekend!  I can’t believe it is almost over already!  Thankfully, most of my laundry is done and now I just have to get some groceries today!  Then, hopefully, a bit of relaxation can happen!
