I wore my rain boots today. After I got home, I left them by the door. This is what happened…
My boots were as tall as her legs are long. She only fell over a few times before giving up on wearing the boots. She did, however, stand still long enough for me to snap a picture!
All the time she was doing this, she was asking for the granola that we had for breakfast as a snack tonight. Since this recipe is kid approved, I figured that you guys should be the recipients of it! I love finding recipes that my kiddos love!
Granola
-3 cups oats
-1 teaspoon cinnamon
-1/4 cup brown sugar
-3 Tablespoons vegetable oil (or canola oil)
-3 Tablespoons Agave nectar (or honey or maple syrup)
-1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Mix oats and cinnamon in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, oil, agave nectar, and vanilla until combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the white ingredients. Make sure that your oats get coated with the mixture.
Spread out on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Rotate pan halfway through cooking.
Remove from oven and put in a bowl to let finish cooling.
What you are left with is some really, really, really good granola. This was like eating an oatmeal cookie. SO good. I can hardly keep my hands out of it!
And the best part is that if you want to add things to this, you can totally do that. Add in nuts, raisins, dried fruit, chocolate chips..whatever your heart decides.
This stuff is just full of clusters of goodness!
And it’s kid approved!
Do you make your own granola? What is your favorite granola add in??
I hope you had a great Monday! Today was a busy day, but was a great day! I had one of those days that flew by and when it was over I was in a great mood!

I’ve got to try this! My daughter loves vanilla yogurt and granola in the morning. She likes the cashews in the granola we buy so I’d have to had those to it. Your daughter is adorable by the way. I love it when they are silly like that
okay she is seriously darling! and the granola sounds delish–i love the homemade stuff!
I love granola, but I never buy it because it’s so expensive. I really need to start making my own. This sounds really good – and easy enough that I would actually do it.
Adorable picture of your daughter in the boots! Kids always seem to get themselves into some sort of mischief
I’ve never made homemade granola [probs should to save some monies!], but my fave flavor to buy is cinnamon raisin or peanut butter!
Haha! Cute picture! Also the granola looks delish!
Love that peanut.
Send more granola.
xo,
your favorite sister
Yum! I love homemade granola – don’t know why I don’t make it more often.
My toddler puts on my boots too – so funny
This sounds great with the agave nectar. I LOVE homemade granola!
This sounds great! My kids are tracked out of school right now and I need ideas for easy little snacks to keep them busy and full. I love the simplicity of this, too….many times granola has some different ingredients that I just don’t have so I skip it.
This will work like a dream! My girls are in love with it! I have to make a double batch this weekend!
haha How cute!
I’m a little scared to make granola. I worry I’ll burn it! Yipes
I love making my own granola — I have a pumpkin granola recipe on the blog!
You daughter is too cute
BTW, thanks for visiting my blog!!

The granola looks great!
