I had one of those mornings that was super productive.  By 9:30 this morning I had been to the grocery store, cooked and cleaned up breakfast, done 2 loads of laundry, cleaned a bathroom, played with the girls and was showered and ready to go for the day.  I love it when days like that happen!

Since I was able to be super productive this morning, I was able to hang out with the Good Eats Guy and the Little Misses for the rest of the morning.

Then it was nap time for the little people and the big people were able to hang out and watch the Lions game.

While watching I graded some essays and got my grades in order for the week!  Yay for being ahead before the week starts!  As I was grading and watching football, I was also planning dinner!

I had whipped up some quick and easy pizza sauce after breakfast.

I used Megan’s recipe….I honestly will never buy pizza sauce unless I have to after making this.  It is so easy and it tastes amazing!

The Good Eats Guy agreed…we were impressed!

So, anyways, I was planning the different ingredients that I was going to put on pizza when we made it!  We had to have a small section of pepperoni for the little ones.  They eat a wide variety of things that most little ones won’t, but their taste in pizza is pepperoni and only pepperoni!

Finally, I decided on canadian bacon, pineapple, and pepperocini pizza with garlic cheesesticks on the side!

OMG…SO good!  There is nothing better than pineapple on a pizza…have you ever tried it?!?!

As I was perusing Pinterest the other day (I’m addicted…seriously.), I found a picture of garlic breadsticks and I had to make them!

So, what you do is take some pizza crust and flatten it out.  Mix together 2 Tablespoons of butter and a 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder together and spread the mixture over the crust.  Then cover with mozzarella and bake at 450 degrees for about 12 minutes.  Then we cut them up and dipped them in the rest of the pizza sauce that we didn’t use!

This was a perfect end to the weekend and a great meal for a fall evening while watching football!   I love homemade pizza and the fact that these cheesesticks were awesome helped make the meal!

Now, we are hanging out and mentally preparing for the week!  Hopefully it will be a good one!

I hope you had a great weekend!

We had pineapple pizza for dinner too! It’s my all-time favorite. I need to try breadsticks again soon. The first batch I made tasted great, but they looked horrible. Your garlic ones sound delicious!

Hmm, I have never made my own pizza sauce but I should! Pineapple on pizza is the best. My favorite combos are pineapple and chicken or veggie plus pineapple. I’m totally afraid of getting sucked into pintrest… so I’ll try to resist as long as possible.

  3. Hawaiian pizza is my favorite! You had a super productive day and I too love days that just flow easy like that.

I have never made my own pizza sauce but I am off to check out that recipe.

  4. I saw your pingback come through on my blog and just had to click over to see how you liked the pizza sauce. So glad it was a hit!! And those breadsticks look amazing…I’m going to have to try that! :)
