I’m spending the evening with this guy….
We have been sucked into a few episodes of Man v. Food. I heart Adam Richman. I just think he’s so cute! And he finds some crazy food challenges. Right now he’s trying to eat 8 lbs. of steak and 1 lb. of french fries. My stomach hurts just thinking about it!
Would you try a food challenge like he does?
Tonight we had one of my favorites. I made breaded pork chops! YUM!
You need…
-saltine crackers
-eggs
-pork chops
-oil
First, put some saltines in a baggie. (And excuse the darkish pics…my camera battery died and I had to use my old one!)
Beat them into smithereens.
Then put the crackers into one bowl, a beaten egg into another bowl and heat some oil in a pan.
Here’s my little breading station.
Dip your porkchops into the egg, then crackers and then put into the pan.
Let the chops brown on each side and then place into a pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes until they are cooked through.
This is one of my favorite things to eat! It’s so very simple, doesn’t use many ingredients and tastes amazing!
Tomorrow is my Friday! I’m so excited for a long weekend!
Do you have a long weekend!?!
I hope you had a fabulous Wednesday!
P.S. Don’t forget to enter into my giveaway! I’m picking the winner tomorrow night!!!

I find that the recipes with the fewest ingredients are some of my favorites. Simple is under rated. Those pork chops sound amazing.
These look absolutely delicious and are now on my list for this weekend!
I would totally go up against Adam!! i think i would win
My husband and I like to watch that show. We chuckle at how you can definitely tell that he has gained weight from the beginning of the series to more recent shows, but that is not suprising. I definitely get grossed out by some of the challenges that he does. Who really wants to eat 10lbs of food in one sitting?!
My bf LOVES Man vs. Food!! So lucky that you have Good Friday off! Wish I did! I am taking Monday off though.
I sort of love that show! After he visited Chicago, my friend did the Lucky’s Challenge that Adam did. He failed.
To tell you the truth, I think if I had time to mentally prepare myself (and maybe run 10 miles beforehand so I’m super hungry), I think I’d do the challenge if a group of friends all wanted to try it.
Preferably a one with breakfast food… I have no shame.
I didn’t attempt the challenge, but I did sit in Lucky’s and have a beer while looking at Adam’s picture on the wall!
I have told my husband and his friend that they need to attempt the challenge this summer!
I don’t technically get a long weekend, but since I don’t have classes on Friday, I do have a 3 day weekend.
I don’t think I could ever eat the way Adam does!
First of all–OMG who can eat 9 lbs of food in one sitting?
Second of all– I misread “breading station” for “breeding station” and got a little uncomfortable. Oh, please–I’m not the only one this happened to.
Thirdly–are those potatoes? YUM.
Yup! They are teeny tiny potatoes from Trader Joe’s!
I love bacon, but pork weirds me out. Strange, huh? I think I need to try a pork chop again soon just because it’s been YEARS.
My mom did one of the challenges he did, long before he got there. She did the “Great Balls of Fire” at Salvador Molly’s in Portland. The balls are habanero balls with habanero sauce. Let’s just say she felt it for a few days. But her picture is on that wall.
These look so great, and so easy! Man vs Food is a great show…it always sucks me in too!
Never seen that show, but it sounds fun! And unfortunately no extended weekend!
But enjoy yours!!
I love watching that show – except it usually ends up with me bringing up the deep fryer!
Love breaded pork chops – never thought to use saltines!
I have a 3 day weekend too – I’ll need it after my crazy work week!
These pork chops look simple and delicious…a double win! I’m so glad to have a three day weekend…enjoy yours as well!
These do look like great pork chops & I love how simple they are to prepare.
I love watching Man vs Food! He can seriously tear into food like it’s no ones business
Have a great Friday
